The Opportunity:
This is a position that requires a high attention to detail and accuracy. It is a crucial team position. The QA Tester is one of the last people to see and verify that a course is ready to be released to the public.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborating with internal teams on delivering a quality product.
  • Reviewing and providing feedback on course content regarding misalignment with course development standards, functionality and features issues, and issues regarding browser/device support.
  • Playing an active role in improving processes, products, activities, and standards.
  • Playing an active role in the meeting of product schedules.
Education & Experience
  • Outstanding ability to detect and identify anomalies, bugs, inconsistencies, etc.
  • 1-3 years of experience working as a proofreader, editor, QA tester or equivalent position.
  • College degree preferred in a related field.
  • Strong proactive communication skills.
  • Excellent English grammar and written communication skills.
  • Must be self-directed.
  • Must be highly organized and detail-oriented, with a commitment to get the job done right.
  • Preferred, but not required:
    • Experience with GitHub.
    • Experience with testing to ADA standards (Section 508).
    • Experience with testing to WCAG standards.
    • Experience with multimedia formats (ie .jpgs, mp4s, mp3s, closed caption files, etc).
Competency 
  • Strong grammatical, prioritization, and communication skills.
  • Must be fluent in English. Additional languages are a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to self-manage multiple projects in different stages of production while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high-quality standard.
  • Able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (sometimes remotely) to create the most visually compelling illustrations & media that support the content of our training products.
  • Ability to work successfully with a global, virtual team
  • Ability to work well under deadline pressures.

Compensation Range 
Please be sure to review the US pay transparency guidance document here and include the below for any locations where a salary range is required.
Ziff Davis provides a range for the base pay. Factors that may be used to determine your actual pay may include your specific job related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The salary compensation for this role is 20,000 MXN to 23,000 MXN. Individual pay within the compensation range for this business unit specific role is determined based on a variety of factors including experience, scope of the role, capabilities to perform the role, education and training, as well as business and company performance.
